Atrius Health and Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family, seek a clinical leader to direct behavioral health in Massachusetts. The role requires board certification, MA licensure, and strong clinician leadership to align care with access, quality, and value-based objectives.

The Chair will supervise physicians, AP/NPs, and behavioral health clinicians, promote population health, and collaborate with community partners while maintaining an active practice.

Qualifications

• Board certified and licensed in MA; credentialed in the clinical role.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS may be required based on specialty.
• 5+ years of experience as a clinician.
• Clinician supervisory experience.
• Business planning and operational experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex matrix healthcare organizations.
• Leadership that fosters continuous process improvement.
• Excellent public presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure department patients receive high quality, patient-centric and safe care.
• Lead frontline clinician team to execute organizational goals and set expectations.
• Translate initiatives into practical applications; encourage staff involvement and creativity.
• Promote population health strategies to achieve outcome metrics.
• Interface with community organizations to optimize patient health.
• Oversee appropriate use of inpatient and outpatient services and referrals.
• Monitor clinician utilization and provide feedback for performance improvement.
• Foster collaborative, team-based work environment and resolve conflicts.
• Supervise clinicians and mentor staff; assist in hiring non-clinical staff as needed.
• Ensure adequate clinical coverage and staffing needs are met.
• Provide general business leadership including budgeting awareness.
• Drive financial performance of the behavioral health division.
• Lead culture change aligned with market dynamics and patient-centric care.
• Maintain active clinical practice and ensure regional care standards.
