Responsibilities

• The Chief, Avionic Systems Division leads the design, development, test, and evaluation of spacecraft avionics and software systems across human spaceflight programs.
• Oversees laboratories and test facilities for in-house development and in-house verification leading to flight readiness.
• Directs system engineering for avionics, data processing, displays/controls, tracking and communications components.
• Establishes documentation, requirements, and interface controls for avionics systems.
• Coordinates division activities across NASA programs (ISS, Orion, Moon Base, commercial partners) and manages cost, schedule and planning.
• Provides executive supervision, prioritization, and organizational execution of the division's mission.
