Job summary

Auxo Talent is partnering with a pioneering organization to recruit a Head of Avionics. This role owns avionics across all product lines and guides architecture, testing, and integration of hardware for spaceflight.

You will lead a team, work cross-functionally, and own risks and schedules while shaping the avionics roadmap for motion control, communications, compute, and power management.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in avionics systems for space applications.
• Proficiency with Altium or equivalent EDA tools.
• Knowledge of communication protocols, sensors, and power electronics.
• Strong technical communication in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and justify system architecture, interfaces, and requirements for all avionics systems.
• Establish qualification testing criteria aligned with spaceflight standards.
• Lead system and component design efforts and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with software and mechanical teams to meet milestones.
• Manage all technical, operational, and programmatic risks for the avionics team.
