Job summary

Concept Plus, a Fairfax-based technology solutions provider, seeks a Chief Architect to lead Health & Civil Sector technical strategy. You will set architecture standards, guide delivery teams, and influence major capture efforts with winning, differentiated solutions.

As the principal technical authority, you will engage with customers in executive reviews, develop white papers and proposals, and mentor architects across the sector while shaping the technical direction for health and civilian

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree.
15+ years of experience planning, architecting, designing and developing system/software solutions, with at least 7+ years in a Solution Architect, Chief Architect, or Lead Architect role.
Experience in System Development, Software or Application Development, Operations & Maintenance, System Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Agile/Scaled Agile.
Experience developing or managing DevOps/DevSecOps solutions that rely on cloud-based infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership across a portfolio of programs or an entire business sector, including setting technical strategy, standards, and governance.
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing solution architects and technical teams.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
The ability to apply critical thinking across an opportunity lifecycle – understanding what a customer is looking for and conceptualizing how a response would address the customer's requirements.
Experience translating technology solutions into high quality, well written responses throughout business development, capture, and proposal development lifecycles.
The ability to conceptualize graphics to convey key solution concepts, graphically depicting process, relationships, dependencies, technologies, benefits, features, and other concepts that tie solutions to requirements.
The proven ability to write, review, direct, and craft proposal sections across diverse disciplines and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Define the technical vision, architecture standards, and solution strategy across the Health & Civil portfolio.
Lead the development of innovative, winning solutions in major capture efforts, balancing cost, schedule, function, quality and other factors.
Create and review white papers, proposals, and briefings to demonstrate thought leadership and support marketing and business development.
Drive capture strategy through technical leadership and discriminating value propositions.
Conduct pre-sales engineering activities, engaging with customers alongside Business Development and partners.
Own the overall solution architecture for key proposals, integrating contributions across diverse topics.
Provide technical leadership to solution architects and delivery teams, mentoring sector architecture talent.
Develop reusable capabilities, accelerators, and differentiators for multiple accounts.
Support program management and business reviews to improve technical health of projects.
Provide technical expertise to resolve program problems and brainstorm client solutions.
