San Bernardino County’s Office of the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk seeks a Chief Appraiser to lead one or more divisions (Valuations, Assessment Services, Appeals, or Business Personal Property) and direct a large appraisal team for tax assessment purposes.

The role involves analyzing new legislation, representing the Assessor at hearings, and testifying as an expert witness. A Bachelor's degree and Advanced Appraiser's Certificate are required.

Qualifikationen

• Five years of full-time appraisal experience for assessment purposes in a California County Assessor's Office, including two years of full-scope supervisory experience.
• Ten years of progressively responsible appraisal experience in a California County Assessor office, including five years of commercial/industrial appraisal plus two years of management experience.
• Experience representing the Assessor at Assessment Appeal Board hearings.
• Successful completion of the San Bernardino County Management & Leadership Academy (MLA).
• Experience developing and presenting training materials.
