Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis, through University Advancement, seeks an Executive Director of Advancement for the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. The role leads fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and campaign initiatives, partnering with the Dean and university leadership to drive philanthropic impact.

The Executive Director will oversee a team of professionals, manage budgets, and coordinate with gift officers to advance school priorities. Extensive travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of fundraising experience recommended.
• Leadership/management experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sam Fox School Comprehensive Advancement Strategy.
• Advise Dean and leadership on advancement activities.
• Oversee prospect development, stewardship, and donor engagement.
• Direct volunteer strategy for boards and committees.
• Set fundraising goals and oversee reporting and budgets.
• Collaborate with University Advancement and school leadership.
