Job summary

Oglethorpe University seeks a strategic Vice President of Advancement to lead fundraising, alumni engagement, and all gift-related activities. Reporting to the President and serving on the senior leadership team, the VP will manage major gifts, annual giving, foundation and corporate relations, planned giving, and advancement operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Ten+ years of advancement leadership experience in higher education or complex nonprofit.
• Proven track record of securing major, principal, and transformational gifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and completion of all fundraising programs and campaigns.
• Develop multi-year advancement strategy to grow philanthropic revenue and donor base.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
• Partner with the President and Board on donor strategy, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Establish and achieve ambitious fundraising goals across all giving channels.
• Oversee advancement operations and staff; ensure prospect management and donor stewardship excellence.
