Job summary

Montgomery College seeks a dynamic fundraising leader to serve as Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations and Executive Director of the Montgomery College Foundation. This executive role provides leadership for all development, alumni engagement, donor relations, and foundation operations activities while serving as the primary liaison to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of fundraising and development experience incl. capital campaigns, major gifts, annual giving, and donor stewardship.
• Proven success securing six‑ and seven‑figure gifts and leading comprehensive campaigns.
• Strong knowledge of governance, nonprofit regulations, and advancement best practices.
• Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, strategic planning, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising, alumni relations, donor stewardship, and foundation operations.
• Partner with Foundation Board leadership to advance priorities, governance, and growth.
• Drive annual fundraising of $6–10 million and support the $50 million campaign by 2028.
• Cultivate and manage a personal portfolio of 40–50 major donors and prospects.
• Develop relationships with community, business, and philanthropic leaders to expand support.
• Lead alumni engagement to strengthen volunteerism and advocacy.
• Oversee foundation financial management, compliance, budgeting, gift processing, and operations.
