Job summary

North Central Missouri College is seeking a Director of Development to lead fundraising and donor engagement, building relationships with alumni, businesses, foundations, and community partners. You will plan and execute campaigns, align goals with institutional priorities, and support the college’s mission, programs, scholarships, and capital projects.

The role reports to the President and collaborates with the Foundation Board and Trustees, overseeing budgets, policies, and the annual fund.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, business, public relations or a related field.
• Advancement, development and fundraising experience required; sales/marketing/finance helpful.
• Strong emotional intelligence and communication; ability to manage multiple tasks and persuade.
• Physical demands: moving between buildings, desk work, typing.
• Environmental demands: moving on tile and carpeted floors in varied climates.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute fundraising campaigns for annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, and corporate sponsorships.
• Develop foundation relations and align fundraising with institutional priorities.
• Cultivate donor relationships with alumni, local businesses, and community partners.
• Oversee grant writing and management for foundations and corporations.
• Lead special events and alumni relations to promote the college.
• Coordinate donor recognition and planned giving programs.
