Job summary

Silver Bay Seafoods, LLC is seeking a strategic Chief Accounting Officer to lead accounting, financial reporting, and SOX compliance across multiple facilities. The role reports to the CFO and centers on strengthening inventory and cost controls, ERP optimization, and capital-transaction accounting.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of big‑firm or senior corporate accounting experience, with IPO readiness or private-company IPO exposure, CPA preferred, and a track record of building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 15+ years in accounting/finance leadership with executive team experience.
• IPO readiness and experience in public/private company transitions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct U.S. GAAP consolidated financial reporting, close and SEC filings.
• Lead technical accounting, advisory on M&A and capital transactions.
• Oversee plant and cost accounting, inventory valuation, controls.
• Design and maintain SOX/internal control framework and disclosures.
• Modernize systems and automate processes to improve close timelines.
• Partner with executives on strategic reporting and team development.
