Job summary

Blue Owl Capital seeks an accomplished Chief Accounting Officer to lead the accounting and financial reporting for its REIT. You will build scalable processes, strengthen controls, and partner with executive management and the Board to ensure best-in-class reporting and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, extensive public REIT experience, and a track record of building high-performing teams within a fast-growing organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
• Extensive GAAP and historical cost accounting knowledge for real estate
• Experience leading SOX compliance programs and internal controls over financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Own SEC reporting including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K; oversee earnings releases
• Oversee internal controls over financial reporting and SOX compliance
• Partner with tax advisors on REIT taxable income and distributions
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting organization
• Collaborate with asset management, investments, and investor relations teams
