Job summary

Glovo is seeking a Chief Accountant to own accounting and tax compliance for the Polish entity in Warsaw. You will bridge Polish statutory requirements with IFRS and coordinate with HQ and external providers.

Lead month-end closing, ensure data accuracy, and deliver reports to authorities and the group. A senior professional with 5+ years in multinational settings, fluent in English and Polish, is expected to drive process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA or Polish ministry certificate) is a strong asset.
At least 5+ years in accounting within a multinational environment.
Expert knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards (UoR) and Polish Tax Regulations; IFRS proficiency.
Audit experience with Big 4 is a plus.
Advanced SAP and Excel skills.
Fluent English and Polish required.
Analytical, detail-oriented, independent yet collaborative.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end closings for the Polish entity.
Ensure compliance with Polish Accounting Act and Group policies.
Oversee VAT, CIT, and other tax obligations; prepare statutory financial statements.
Coordinate with local HQ, finance teams, and external auditors.
Drive process automation and maintain robust accounting controls.
