Zusammenfassung

Glovo is seeking a Chief Accountant in Warsaw to own accounting and tax compliance for the Polish entity, bridging Polish Act requirements with IFRS. You’ll ensure timely month-end closings and accurate reporting to HQ and authorities, collaborating across local, regional, and central finance teams in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or Polish SKwP) is a strong asset.
• At least 5+ years of accounting experience in a multinational environment in a senior role.
• Expert knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards (UoR) and Polish Tax Regulations with IFRS proficiency.
• Experience with Big 4 audits is an advantage.
• Strong SAP and MS Excel skills.
• Fluency in English and Polish is mandatory.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and independence.

Aufgaben

• Lead full month-end and year-end closing for the Polish entity.
• Ensure compliance with Polish Accounting Act and group policies.
• Prepare statutory and tax reporting for Polish authorities.
• Coordinate with local and HQ finance teams and external providers.
• Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation.
• Drive process automation and maintain control frameworks.
