Job summary

Canisius University in Buffalo, New York, seeks an accomplished Provost to serve as the university's chief academic officer. Reporting to the President, the Provost will provide strategic and operational leadership for all academic functions, aligning with the Answer the Call plan.

The appointee will work with executives, deans, faculty, Trustees, staff, students, and community members to advance the university's academic and enrollment strategy and to foster innovation in program development

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief academic officer, providing strategic and operational leadership for all academic functions.
• Collaborate with the President, deans, faculty, Trustees, and staff to advance Canisius' academic and enrollment strategy.
• Foster innovation in academic programs and partnerships with external higher education institutions.
• Provide oversight for Library Services, Office for Diversity and Inclusion, Institutional Research & Effectiveness, Enrollment Management, Marketing & Communications.
• Lead Canisius toward its strategic plan, Answer the Call, with an emphasis on academic excellence and social justice.
