Job summary

Vibrant Emotional Health seeks an accomplished Chief 988 Lifeline Officer to lead the national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Reporting to the CEO, you will direct a large, multidisciplinary organization, align strategy with Vibrant’s priorities, and ensure service quality, equity, and impact nationwide.

The role requires 12+ years in behavioral health leadership, experience with federal programs, and ability to travel ~30% or more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, public health, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, crisis services, suicide prevention, public health, healthcare, or a closely related field.
• Clinical education, licensure, or professional experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience overseeing crisis-care systems or national networks in a large, 24/7 environment is required.
• Experience managing federally funded programs or government partnerships is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational multi-year plan for the Lifeline to improve quality, sustainability and national impact.
• Oversee SAMHSA Cooperative Agreement with governance, compliance and stewardship of federal resources.
• Direct the Lifeline’s integration across Vibrant and ensure scalable systems and shared ways of working.
