Job summary

Church's Chicken is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare and cook chicken products according to the Manager in Charge and the Church's Operating Standards Manual. Duties include batter setup, fry station prep, and ensuring timely, clean, and orderly kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe cooking practices, keeping call sheets current, and reporting equipment issues promptly to the Manager in Charge of Shift. This role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Stand/walk for long periods on hard floors while cooking
• Ability to follow OSMS cooking standards and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Sets up batter table and prepares batter mix
• Ensures call sheets are complete, posted and used
• Checks equipment and reports malfunctions to Manager
• Balances shortening in fryers and maintains proper levels
• Filters and cleans fryers following safety guidelines
• Pans and prepares chicken as needed to meet business demands
• Cooks and prepares food per Manager's directions and quality standards
• Maintains clean, organized work area and proper sanitation
• Verifies supplies are stocked at batter area
• Stocks and organizes cooler and performs other tasks as assigned by Manager
