Chick-fil-A South Plainfield, NJ is hiring a Kitchen/Cook Team Member to join a fast-paced, customer-focused team. Starting pay is up to $16.50 per hour, with part-time (min 20 hours) or full-time options. Shifts include daylight or evening, and two Saturdays per month are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely and efficiently to Chick-fil-A standards.
• Know assignments for back-of-house stations (fries, breading, assembling, boards, food prep).
• Prepare cold items and catering menu items.
• Stock BOH inventory as needed; maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.

• Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all back-of-house stations, including fries, breading, assembling, boards, food prep, and other areas if needed
• Prepare cold individual and catering menu items
• Stock BOH inventory as needed
• Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times
• Keep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-A corporate
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Kitchen Manager
• Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes
• Complete all opening or closing tasks as assigned
