8Fleet, Inc. is hiring a Market Manager to launch and grow Chicago’s first fleet and facilities. You’ll own the end-to-end market: footprint setup, vendor relationships, driver onboarding, and fleet operations as the market scales.

You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and financial performance, while building local teams and driving continuous improvement in a fast-evolving, 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in operations management, business consulting, or a comparable operating role with ownership of business goals.
• 2+ years managing people directly, including hiring and developing your team.
• Experience opening new markets/sites/facilities and leading through startup months.
• Ability to make decisions with incomplete information and act on insights.

Responsabilités

• Launch Chicago: secure footprint, outfit facilities, build vendor bench, and hire drivers.
• Own day-to-day fleet operations: scheduling, dispatch, vehicle availability, performance monitoring.
• Lead maintenance program to maximize utilization and minimize downtime.
• Recruit, onboard, and train the local operations team; scale as volume grows.
• Develop growth plan and budget; track KPIs from launch through scale.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois and Chicago requirements and safety standards.
