Job summary

Restaurant Associates in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Catering Director to lead planning and execution of executive-level catering and events for a premier corporate dining account. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, or related field.
• Minimum five years in hospitality or catering, with at least two years in management.
• Experience in corporate dining, luxury hospitality, or high-end catering environments.
• Experience with event booking, menu costing, pricing, staffing and vendor management.
• Strong knowledge of catering operations, service standards, and cost control.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and execution of catering events for a premier corporate dining account.
• Serve as the primary client contact and ensure service expectations are exceeded.
• Create and maintain a catering strategy including event planning services, menus, pricing and promotions.
• Partner with culinary leadership to develop menus reflecting premium standards and client preferences.
• Manage booking, forecasting, contracts, costing, equipment, staffing and logistics.
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop catering team members for service excellence.
• Oversee event setup, service, transportation, breakdown and cleanup.
• Monitor labor, food and operating costs while meeting financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with policies, food safety and sanitation standards.
• Conduct post-event reviews and drive continuous improvements.
