Job summary

Caliber Inc. is seeking a trade compliance specialist to manage import/export documentation and CBP regulatory matters. You will classify goods, prepare entry documents, and serve as the primary contact for CBP audits and inquiries.

Responsibilities include advising clients on regulations, monitoring ISF/AES filings, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve shipment issues while staying current on regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CBP regulations and import/export compliance.
• Experience with HTS classification and tariff calculations.
• Familiarity with ISF filings and AES filings.
• Ability to advise clients on trade compliance strategies and duty mitigation.

• Prepare, review, and file entry documents for import/export shipments in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations
• Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure accurate duty, tax, and fee calculations
• Serve as the licensed point of contact for CBP audits, inquiries, and compliance matters
• Advise clients on customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and duty mitigation strategies (e.g., free trade agreements, drawback programs)
• Monitor and ensure compliance with import/export laws, including ISF filings, AES filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements
• Collaborate with internal operations teams and government agencies (CBP, FDA, USDA, etc.) to resolve shipment holds, exams, and other customs-related issues
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing trade regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures, and train staff accordingly
