Job summary

The Symicor Group is seeking a Commercial Underwriter in Chicago, IL to evaluate loan opportunities and compile detailed memorandums. This role involves analyzing financial data, market factors, and sponsor credit reports to support lending decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business with a major in finance or accounting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new loan opportunities, focusing on the property's strengths and the financial health of sponsors by reviewing credit reports, tax returns, financial data, market data, and appraisals.
• Present findings to loan committees based on underwriting in line with policies and risk parameters.
• Ensure timely completion of annual reviews and related assessment reports; present recommendations to loan committees.
• Provide Risk Rating adjustment recommendations due to covenants, market conditions, and guarantor changes.
