Job summary

The Symicor Group is seeking a Sr. Commercial Underwriter for a banking client in Waukesha, WI. You will underwrite new commercial loan requests, renewals, and annual reviews, prepare credit analyses, assess risk ratings, and review collateral documentation such as appraisals, title policies, environmental reports, surveys, leases, and construction contracts.

This is not a remote position. You will meet with loan officers and borrowers, participate in loan committee discussions when needed, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in business/commercial credit analysis.
• Experience in software or systems used for credit analysis, and deposit and loan products.
• Strong financial and credit analysis skills with understanding of business credit documentation and collateral documents.
• Ability to use independent judgment and discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
• Familiarity with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Completes credit analyses and risk rating packages for loan decisions with detailed structuring and collateral review.
• Meets with Commercial Loan Officers and borrowers to discuss existing loans and new requests.
• Attends Commercial Loan Committee meetings to present analysis information as needed.
• Contacts businesses, accountants, and attorneys to clarify questions in the credit analysis package.
• Reviews collateral documents and ensures timely annual reviews and policy compliance.
• Provides feedback to loan officers and models appropriate loan structures for new and existing relationships.
• Maintains annual review and risk rating reports and supports policy enhancement.
