The Community Connector will serve as a key program promoter for the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). This role is responsible for recruitment and outreach initiatives to attract high-caliber students to CHHS programs, with a particular emphasis on increasing interest and enrollment in nursing and healthcare pathways to strengthen the workforce in New Hanover County.
The position will actively promote innovative pathway initiatives and programs that support healthcare education, knowledge progression and early student engagement in healthcare careers. The Community Connector will collaborate closely with community partners, schools, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to align recruitment and pathway development efforts.
This role also supports the mission of the New Hanover Healthcare Career Partnership (HCP), funded and supported by The Endowment, which is dedicated to expanding healthcare education opportunities and workforce development. The position will help advance initiatives connected to The Endowment's core focus areas of Education, Community Development, Community Safety, and HCP project priorities.
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
