Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors is seeking caring Home Health Aides for weekend, overnight and respite shifts. Pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour with a weekend differential included, serving Short Hills, Springfield, Union and surrounding Essex & Union Counties.

Active NJ CHHA certification, valid driver’s license with insured vehicle are required. We offer orientation, ongoing clinical training, and referral bonuses with flexible scheduling built around you.

Qualifications

• Active NJ CHHA Certification is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and an insured vehicle for client transport is required.
• Strong clinical judgment with clear communication is essential.
• Open availability for day, weekend, or overnight shifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Companionship and memory care for clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support (ADLs).
• Nutrition and homemaking such as meal planning and light housekeeping.
• Transportation to medical appointments, errands and grocery shopping.

What You Will Do (Clinical Scope / Home Health Aide):

• Companionship & Memory Care: Engagement, activities, and specialized support for Alzheimer’s and Dementia clients.
  
• Personal Care (ADLs): Safe assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
  
• Nutrition & Homemaking: Meal planning/preparation and light housekeeping.
  
• Transportation: Transporting clients to medical appointments (e.g., dialysis), grocery shopping, and errands.
  

Position Requirements:

• Active NJ CHHA Certification (Required).
  
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable insured vehicle for client transport (Required).
  
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and a dependable attitude.

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
