Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current New York State CNA certification at hire or within six months.
• Minimum of two years acute care experience at Cayuga Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible nursing assistant support across multiple clinical areas such as Med/Surg, ICU, OB, and skilled nursing.
• Obtain and document vital signs and intake/output, and communicate changes to the RN.
• Perform phlebotomy, ECGs, telemetry, AvaSure monitoring, and transfer center coordination as competent.
• Provide sterile field/instrumentation support as OB Scrub Technician when trained.
• Reinforce patient care, safety and post-operative instructions; maintain CHESS competencies.
