Qualifications

• Master's degree in preservation, history, architecture, material culture or related field.
• Valid Virginia driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• 5-year Motor Vehicle Record prior to employment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• No more than 1 moving violation or at fault accident within 12 months.
• No more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents within 36 months.
• No serious motor vehicle violations including DUI/DWI, suspensions, or revocations.

Responsibilities

• Submit fieldwork proposals to support Department of Architectural Preservation and Research needs.
• Document Historic Area buildings and conduct wider fieldwork throughout the Chesapeake.
• Present research via a written article or conference presentation at the end of the fellowship term.
