Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation seeks an Architectural Preservation and Research Associate to support documentation, site inspections, and research across the Historic Area. You will help manage projects, maintain records, and assist with accessioned objects in architectural collections.

The role requires a four-year degree in historic preservation or related field, Virginia driver’s license, and ability to work in varied environments. Overtime may apply during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree in historic preservation, architectural history, or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with on- and off-site preservation projects and initiatives across the Foundation.
• Coordinate, document, and manage projects with updates for activity reports.
• Maintain project lists and update preservation records.
• Assist with condition assessments of original and reconstructed buildings and facilities.
