Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is hiring experienced Order Picker Forklift operators for a leading sports apparel company on the east side of Indianapolis. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a wide range of benefits upon full-time hire. Shift is B - Thu-Sat 6am-6pm, $20/hr.

Responsibilities include safely operating a cherry picker forklift, verifying items, loading and unloading, and keeping a clean, safe work area. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• RF Scanner experience required.
• 1–4 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Must have cherry picker forklift experience and certification.

Shift and Pay

B - Thu-Sat 6am-6pm, $20/hr

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate a cherry picker forklift to pick and retrieve materials from high storage locations according to work orders or instructions. Accurately identify and verify items and quantities as per the pick list or order. Transport picked items to designated staging areas, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads. Load and unload materials from trucks or other transport vehicles as required, using the cherry picker. Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the forklift, including checking fluid levels, battery, brakes, and other safety equipment, and report any issues or maintenance needs immediately. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the forklift and assigned warehouse zones. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed. Collaborate effectively with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient workflow and on-time order fulfillment. Participate in training and development programs to enhance job skills and safety knowledge. Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (typically 6+ months) operating a cherry picker forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• - Valid forklift operator certification specific to cherry pickers.
• - Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, and other instructions accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and material handling.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
• - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• - Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
