Job summary

Tennessee Oncology seeks a Chemo Prep Tech to safely and aseptically prepare chemotherapy and other medications in the mixing room, following BSC aseptic technique and clean room guidelines.

The ideal candidate is a professionally certified pharmacy technician with chemotherapy admixture experience preferred, proficient with the Nucleus system and EMR, and able to maintain accurate records while supporting nursing staff and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Certified pharmacy technician in good standing.
• Chemo admixture experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and follow procedures.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Safely prepare chemotherapy and other medications in the biological safety cabinet.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions in the mixing room.
• Verify patient information and physician orders; ensure correct dosing and timing.
• Assist nursing staff and manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain clean and compliant aseptic work area and PPE use.
