Job summary

Minnesota Oncology is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, distribution, and record keeping in a clinic-based admixture area.

You will perform compounding under physician supervision, ensure accurate orders, and maintain strict logs and documentation. The role emphasizes OSHA guidelines, inventory control, and collaboration with nurses and pharmacists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of pharmacy tech or health care experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy calculations.
• CPT certificate or state board preferred; certification required within first year if not certified.
• IV/chemo compounding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing medication orders under physician supervision.
• Check orders for completeness and verify physician authorization.
• Admix drugs under supervision according to guidelines and OSHA/interoffice rules.
• Maintain temperature logs and protocol drug records.
• Support inventory control, labeling, and billing.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the admix area to ensure sanitation.
