Job summary

The US Oncology Network in Minnesota is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, distribution, and inventory in a clinic admixture room. You will work under a physician's supervision and alongside a nurse or pharmacist to ensure accuracy and safety in all steps.

Qualified candidates have a pharmacy technician background, knowledge of calculations, and experience with IV drug handling. Competitive benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of pharmacy technician or related health care experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy calculations, and related medical technology.
• Intravenous drug and chemotherapy compounding experience preferred.
• Certification with Pharmacy Board or equivalent preferred; first-year certification required if not certified at hiring.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and admix medications under physician supervision following guidelines.
• Verify orders for completeness and patient/physician information.
• Accurately calculate dosages and convert between units.
• Maintain temperature logs and protocol drug records.
• Assist with inventory control and billing in the department.
