Job summary

Florida Oncology and Hematology is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to manage chemotherapy preparation, dispensing, and inventory across clinics in Florida. The role involves preparing and mixing chemotherapy drugs under supervision, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and suppliers.

Ideal candidates have a PTCB certification or state registration, at least three years in healthcare, and a valid driver’s license for occasional travel.

Qualifications

• PTCB Certification or Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• Minimum of three years’ healthcare experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings.
• Valid State Driver's License for travel to clinics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under licensed supervision in compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing and par-level management.
• Review next-day orders with nursing staff to anticipate special medication needs.
• Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications to maintain inventory levels.
• Maintain records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, and biohazard waste; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist training of new staff on chemotherapy preparation and Nucleus workflows.
• Support multi-location operations and participate in mandatory safety/OSHA training.
