Qualifications

• Professional certification as a pharmacy technician.
• Chemotherapy admixture experience strongly preferred.
• TN State Pharmacy Technician license active or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medications accurately to fulfill orders.
• Review orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
• Calculate drug dilutions and final concentrations.
• Aseptically prepare drug solutions and products.
• Maintain admixture area per clean room guidelines.
• Assess order appropriateness before preparation.
• Evaluate patient information prior to admixture.
• Maintain policies on cleaning procedures.
