Job summary

Alignerr is seeking chemistry experts to train and improve AI models. This remote hourly contract supports 10–40 hours per week and can be done from anywhere. A Master’s degree in chemistry or related field is required to join our cutting-edge research collaborations.

You design advanced chemistry problems, craft clear step-by-step solutions, and evaluate AI outputs for accuracy. No prior AI experience is needed—just a passion for chemistry and meticulous analytical thinking.

What You'll Do

• Design advanced chemistry problems to challenge and evaluate AI performance across domains like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry
• Develop clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and quality
• Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics
• Provide structured, constructive feedback that directly improves AI model performance

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks
• Familiarity with large language models or AI research workflows
• Background spanning multiple chemistry subdisciplines
