Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY seeks an Instructional Support Technician to provide technical support for organic and general chemistry instructional laboratories and related courses. You will work with faculty to prepare and evaluate experiments, ensure functional instrumentation, standardized reagents, and adequate supplies, with evening hours required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field is required.
• Two years of full-time work/research experience in Chemistry or related field.
• Ability to move lab supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support for Organic and General Chemistry instructional laboratories.
• Assist in development of new laboratory experiments and prep materials.
• Analyze and evaluate experiments for practicability and safety.
• Support course preparation and stockroom management.
• Maintain safety culture and ensure functional instrumentation.
