Job summary

The Technical College of the Lowcountry seeks a qualified Chemistry educator to join its two-year college community. You will teach Chemistry courses, integrate theory with hands-on labs, and support student academic and career success.

You will develop course syllabi, design instructional materials, assess student progress, and maintain records in alignment with college policies while upholding safety and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or closely related field; unofficial transcripts required at application.
• Minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in Chemistry.
• Prior college-level teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in Chemistry through lectures, demonstrations, laboratory activities, and other applied learning experiences.
• Assess student learning through assignments, laboratory reports, examinations, and other evaluation methods.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress in accordance with college policies.
• Develop and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with established course outcomes.
• Recommend textbooks, laboratory supplies, and other instructional resources to support Chemistry courses.
• Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to enhance teaching and learning.
