Florida Polytechnic University invites applications for a tenure-equivalent faculty position in Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, beginning August 2027.

This hire is part of a strategic expansion tied to the department's recently launched B.S. in Biomedical Sciences, and it arrives as Florida Poly builds out new chemistry laboratories.

You will strengthen the chemistry core that pre-health, engineering, and science students depend on, and you will help extend the department's research presence.

Minimum qualifications

Preferred qualifications

• Evidence of effective undergraduate teaching, especially in general or organic chemistry.
• Theoretical or experimental expertise that complements current faculty strengths in organic, analytical, and green chemistry.
• Relevant research or industry experience.
• Record or clear potential of externally funded, independent, or interdisciplinary applied research.
• Experience advising and mentoring undergraduates.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
