Job Description

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Teach assigned courses as outlined in the annualassignment.
• Prepare and deliver course content, including syllabi,lectures, instructional materials, assessments, and timelyevaluation of student performance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or related areafrom a regionally accredited institution or equivalentaccreditation.
• Demonstrated potential for, or a record of, achievement inteaching undergraduate courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or related areafrom a regionally accredited institution or equivalentaccreditation.
• Teaching experience related to general chemistry and forensicsare preferred. Individuals who have work experience and curriculumknowledge related to forensic science are desired.
• Familiarity with student-centered teaching methods.
• Willingness to engage in service opportunities commensuratewith career maturity.

• Knowledge of major concepts, assumptions, debates, processes ofinquiry, and ways of knowing that are central to thediscipline(s).
• Understands how to use digital and interactive technologies toefficiently and effectively achieve specific learning goals.
• Knowledge of critical thinking processes and understanding howto help learners develop high-level questioning skills.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of inquiry-based instructionalmodels and strategies.
• Knowledge and ability to use technology in various teachingmodalities (e.g., Face-to-face, synchronous online, or asynchronousonline).
