Job summary

Arizona Science Center invites a Staff Scientist, Chemistry to join our team in Phoenix. The role focuses on developing and delivering chemistry demonstrations, hands-on activities, and onsite programs that engage visitors of all ages.

You will train full-time and part-time staff, ensure safe chemical handling, and align content with our exhibits and STEM holidays. Responsibilities include program development, collaboration across departments, and ongoing content evaluation to reflect current

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or 4+ years of related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, research, and develop new programs, workshops, and demonstrations in chemistry.
• Deliver, train, and oversee the implementation of chemistry programs by team members.
• Plan, organize, and deliver workshops, programs, and initiatives, collaborating with other departments.
• Develop, implement, train, and deliver content aligned with STEM holidays and Arizona Science Center programming.
• Develop stage demonstrations and activations that align with chemistry exhibits.
• Provide and evaluate current chemistry content for hands-on engagement with exhibits.
• Anticipate needs related to chemistry programming, respond to guest concerns, and assist in other center areas.
