Arizona Science Center is seeking a Youth Initiatives Coordinator (part-time) to implement STEM programming for Girls in STEM and Girl Scout events. The role involves preparing engaging activities, setting up classrooms, and ensuring a safe, educational experience for K–12 students.
The coordinator will work with the Engagement Division to plan, lead, and assess programs, communicating with staff and parents while supporting educational goals across the Learning Division.

The Youth Initiatives Coordinator ensures implementation of services within the Learning Division at Arizona Science Center to inspire, educate, and engage curious minds through science, and to advance educational leadership, quality teaching, parent and community support, and student engagement for success in learning. The Coordinator will prepare, present, lead, monitor, and facilitate fun, engaging STEM activities, investigations and demonstrations for Girls in STEM and Girl Scouts events, set up classrooms, clean up, supervise activities, pack materials, and communicate with co‑workers, parents, and Science Center employees. Additional tasks may be assigned to further the educational goals of the Science Center.
This position has no managerial supervisory responsibilities.
Acquisition of a food handler’s card and fingerprint card is required and paid for by the Science Center.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
