Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) invites Chemistry/Chemical Engineering students to join the 2027 Summer Internship Program, a 10–12 week immersive experience starting in May/June 2027. You will work with world-class engineers, scientists, researchers, and technicians using state-of-the-art techniques to research and develop new technologies and concepts.

Interns will present a final project to management, have mentorship, tours, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related BS, MS or PhD degrees from an accredited college or university
• Must have completed at least first full year of college by May 2027
• Enrolled/continuing in a degree program throughout this internship

Responsibilities

• Work with world-class engineers, scientists, researchers, and technicians
• Engage in research, development, and data analysis activities
• Contribute to projects with real-world impact on Navy nuclear propulsion
