Job summary

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is establishing a pool of qualified candidates for adjunct and substitute Chemistry instructors. Positions may be available per semester across CVTC campuses (Eau Claire, River Falls, etc.).

Adjacent roles involve teaching courses face-to-face or online; instructors must be within driving distance of CVTC campuses and be prepared for varied schedules and hours per week.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry or master's degree in any area with 18 graduate credits in Chemistry.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• Must meet and maintain HLC requirements, FQAS standards, and/or other job-specific licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan for and instruct courses in the area of Chemistry.
• Implement relevant and progressive curriculum.
• Deliver high-quality instruction through planning and implementation of effective learning strategies and environments.
• Create performance-based assessments aligned with competencies through formative and summative measures.
• Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Meet professional expectations by maintaining professional currency and contributing to a collaborative culture across the College.
