OMIC USA, Inc. is an international analytical laboratory dedicated to global food health and safety through analytical testing services. The Chemist 1 role provides accurate, timely results by performing extractions, preparing reagents, and contributing to improvements to achieve our mission.

The successful candidate will operate benchtop equipment, document findings in LIMS, and ensure a clean, safe, collaborative lab environment in a global team.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related science; equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Familiarity with bench techniques and sample preparation.
• Experience with lab equipment upkeep and safety practices.
• Experience in an international business environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine extraction, isolation, and sample cleanup using various techniques.
• Document reagents and analytical working standards per SOPs.
• Operate lab equipment including blenders, shakers, rotovap, pH meters, and centrifuges.
• Notify supervisor of equipment issues and deviations to procedures.
• Complete extraction QC checks and enter data per protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized lab environment.
• Assist in R&D projects and SOP revisions as needed.
