Job summary

OMIC USA INC. in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Chemist 2 to join our Residue Chemistry Laboratory. The role supports GC, LC, and MS-based analyses, develops methods, and ensures compliant results.

The candidate will work with multiple vendors and contribute to continuous improvement of extraction and analytical processes. Responsibilities include data handling in LIMS, maintaining standards, and potential involvement in method development for pesticides and residues in food matrices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with GCMS, GCMSMS, LCMS, and/or LCMSMS instrumentation and data analysis.
• Experience in analytical method development focusing on MS/MS parameters.
• Experience with listed software platforms for data acquisition and review.

Responsibilities

• Operate GC/LC instrumentation with MS detection.
• Interpret and report test results including QA/QC data.
• Develop and validate methods and contribute to SOPs and documentation.
• Enter data into LIMS and maintain reference materials.
• Support and train Chemist 1 and assist Group Leader as needed.
