Job summary

Fives Landis Corp – Gardner Abrasives in South Beloit, IL is seeking a Chemist to join the Quality Control team. The role involves testing in-house materials, assisting in product formulation, and maintaining lab records to support manufacturing and customers.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in chemistry or physical science and 0–3 years of experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or physical science.
• 0–3 years of relevant lab/quality control experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on in-house blended materials and adjust formulations as needed.
• Assist in formulation of products and provide information to manufacturing.
• Operate lab equipment (Testing Machine, XRF, FTIR, etc.) and maintain records.
• Support ISO 9001/14001 processes and ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain documentation of tests and inspections.
