Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Chemist/Lab Technician Co-op in Cairo, OH. This role targets students in their 2nd year or beyond pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

You will gain hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing, lab analysis, process optimization, and technical documentation. Responsibilities include sample analysis with ICP-MS, UV/VIS, and Auto titration, lab testing, equipment calibration, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• 2nd/3rd year chemistry student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0 / 4.0.
• Duration: May 2026 - August 2026.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product sampling per customer requirements using lab instruments (ICP-MS, UV/VIS, Auto titrator).
• Assist with lab testing, calibration, and maintaining lab records.
• Analyze metals contaminants in cleanroom environments.
• Perform routine instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects.
• Support safety programs and internal audits.
• Collect samples and perform basic chemical analyses on process streams.
