Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a Chemist II to join its innovation team at its manufacturing plant. You will support chemical product manufacturing facilities, drive key innovation projects, and enhance solutions in cleaning, sanitizers, processing aids, and antimicrobial interventions.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology, or engineering or related field.
3–5 years of related experience.
Preferred: Master's or PhD in a related field; strong initiative.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize new sanitation/intervention formulations from literature.
Design and execute experiments to develop new chemical formulations.
Design and run process improvement experiments for sanitation/interventions.
Assist in product quality investigations and CAPA-related updates.
Collaborate with plants, distributors, engineering, supply chain, R&D and QA to transfer products.
Drive new product development projects from ideation to commercialization.
