• Skill in use of laboratory equipment and materials.
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation.
• Ability to perform calculations and report data in compliance with applicable rules.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience performing Total Suspended Solids/Total Dissolved Solids (TSS/TDS) analysis.

The Chemist II position in the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Environmental Assessment and Restoration analyzes environmental samples for nutrients, inorganic anions, and related compounds in support of water quality assessment and restoration projects. Located in Tallahassee, the incumbent will perform laboratory testing and analysis, maintain analytical instrumentation, and maintain accurate records of data in compliance with applicable regulations.

Key qualifications:
