Job description

Job Title: Chemist II - Quality Control

We are currently seeking a Chemist II for our Quality Control team. The Chemist will perform laboratory testing in a fast-paced cGMP environment, with experience in capillary electrophoresis testing required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Performing test method validations for clinical and commercial projects.
2. Maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with procedural requirements.
3. Implementing and maintaining cGMP standards concerning laboratory records, procedures, and systems.
4. Executing various laboratory techniques as trained.
5. Completing assigned tasks within required timelines and collaborating with team members to meet business objectives.
6. Authoring validation protocols, reports, and test methods.
7. Supporting laboratory investigations promptly.
8. Supporting various testing techniques upon completion of training.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology, or an equivalent science degree.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with CE-SDS, HPLC, or ELISA, including troubleshooting.
• Experience with Empower or Softmax/PLA software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with spectrophotometric concentration determination.
• Experience with QC testing of phase III and commercial products.
• Experience with Empower audit trail.

Top Skills, Experience, or Education:

• QC background.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Advanced testing experience with CE-SDS, HPLC, or ELISA.
• Experience with Empower or Softmax/PLA software is a plus.
• Relevant science degree and 2+ years of related experience.
