Job Title: Chemist I

Location: 10 Southgate Road, Scarborough, ME, 04074

Duration: 6 Months

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Shift: 6:00 AM – 02:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Manufacturing Chemist to join the Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit in Scarborough, Maine. This role is responsible for producing bioreagents used in immunology-based chromatography and enzyme testing, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the manufacturing production schedule.
• Perform in-process quality control (QC) testing, including qualifications, inspections, and titrations.
• Prepare critical and non-critical bioreagents in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain compliance with GMP and GLP quality systems.
• Investigate process issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop, follow, and execute protocols related to product and process improvements.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent production output and raw material availability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques and equipment, including:
  • Pipetting
  • Spectrophotometry
  • HPLC
  • pH meters
  • Gel Electrophoresis (including SDS-PAGE)
  • ELISA assays

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with moderate supervision.
